BABY WANTS A SHOT AT THE BOSS, "RICK ROSS IS SIGNED TO DEF JAM, BUT WHEN THE TIME DO COME, I "M GONNA BE RIGHT THERE WAITING"

While Maybach Music Group leader Rick Ross continues to lead his own team to mainstream heights, Cash Money "s Birdman recently admitted he has his eyes on the boss once he becomes a free agent.

Despite a strong relationship with Ricky Rozay, Birdman hopes to turn their bond into business-oriented later down the road.

"Ross signed to Def Jam and you know Ross is a close friend of mine. But if the time ever came, we gonna G up and make it happen. Right now he signed to Def Jam, but when the time do come, I "m gonna be right there waiting," Birdman said. " "ve been seeing Ross. I like his hustle. You can see how he patterned his whole thing around how we do what we do and he "s following the blueprint straight up. I got nothing but love and respect for Rozay. I watched him do it and he did it from nothing. He "s still grounded and that "s what I love about him. He "s got a solid team. They "ve got some great music over there." (Complex)

He also talked about aiming to ink up former G-Unit member Game after his current record deal ends.

"Game is signed to Interscope--I don "t really know his situation. I don "t like to get into talks with other people who are signed to other labels because I wouldn "t want them n*ggas f*cking with nothing that "s mine. So I show respect to whoever they with I know that I told Game, if the time come I would love to sign Game. I think he "s a very talented artist. But right now he "s signed with Interscope, maybe he "s got another album. But when time comes, I "m gonna be there for him too." (Complex)

Last month, Game hinted at plans to possibly go indie after F.I.V.E. (Fear Is Victory Evolving) drops.

"Independent. That seems like a really, really good move where I can capitalize off of all the finances being made off of my music for once. But, I don "t know, I kinda like having a lot of help, a lot of assistance from a big label," Game told MTV News. "I don "t know, maybe we "ll have a meeting about a lot of money or I "ll be talking to my conscience." (MTV)

In late July, Game revealed his intention to consider making a Cash Money label move.

With only one more album left on his current deal (he "s back onInterscope after being shuffled between the "Scope and Geffen during his feud with 50 Cent) following The R.E.D. Album, Game said he expects to reach a new agreement with Cash Money sooner rather than later. "We been playing with the idea of going over to Cash Money or trying to marry that and Black Wall Street," he explained. "So, we "ll figure it out before the end of the day.
