Luda says that his mixtape is for his core fan base.

As the drop date for Ludacris " 1.21 Gigawatts: Back to the First Time nears, the Atlanta emcee has revealed what fans can expect from him with the release.

"The sound of the tape is strictly taking it back to the streets, strictly taking it back to the essence," Luda told MTV "s Mixtape Daily. "You know I been gone for two years, so I "m trying to flood the Internets with music, I "m trying to flood everybody. All the fans for the past 10 years that "s been supporting me: This is for you."

The tape, which features Rick Ross, Wiz Khalifa, Meek Mill, Big K.R.I.T. and 2 Chainz, is a reference to Luda "s 1st major label album, Back for the First Time.

"[I "m] taking it back to the beginning, taking it back to the essence,". "It "s gritty, it "s grimy, it "s hard core."
