July 18, 2011

(AllHipHop News) Fabolous and Red Cafe are preparing to release a duet album under the moniker Bedrock Boyz, a project which Cafe hopes will drop this year.

Red Cafe remarked on his current relationship with the Desert Storm crew, but also revealed he and Fabolous are planning a joint album.

“Yeah man, [Desert Storm is] definitely still a part of my team. You know, I talk to Envy almost every day, I talk to [DJ] Clue at least a couple times a week, and they’re still influential," Red Cafe told AllHipHop.com. "So to get their opinion and hear how they feel is really important to me. Fab, of course, that’s like my partner and we working on a project right now called Bedrock Boyz and that should be coming in the same timeframe as my album and his album.”

Bedrock Boyz may drop this year, Cafe revealed.

"We wanted it to come out this year, but we’re just trying to see what makes the most sense. He’s scheduling his album right now as well, so depending on time, we’ll see when we can make it happen; but I want it to come in the fall," he explained. "We’re in a good place with it too. We’re about eight records in and were planning on doing about twelve total.”

Red also revealed that his first single from his debut solo album will be released in the next two or three weeks and has features from Rick Ross and Ryan Leslie who also produced the song titled “Fly Together.” Red Café as he was putting the finishing touches on his untitled album, which is to be released in February on Konvict/Bad Boy/Interscope.
