Take
a Ride Down the Hip Hop Memory Lane
(July 11, 2011)- Beanie Sigel is set to release his highly anticipated single
“B Boy Stance”. His legions of fans worldwide have continuously
reached out for new Beanie Sigel music. This single not only has the driving
lyricism and musicality of vintage Beanie, but it also pays homage to those
rap artist from the 80’s and 90’s who blazed a trail in the Hip
Hop community. While B-Boy Stance invokes old school memories, it exhibits cutting
edge 2011 lyrics, as Beanie intersperses the different rap artist through a
myriad of musical and lyrical segments that tie into his profound commentary
about these icons of Hip Hop.
Fans have missed the Philly rapper since his last studio release The Solution.
Beanie took a self-imposed hiatus to kick back and spend time with his family.
However Beans has kept busy on the mix tape circuit with releases like Public
Enemy #1 and The Broad Street Bully is Back. Although he made an attempt, his
dedicated fan base refused to let him retire. So Beans is back with a vengeance,
in the studio grinding, writing lyrics and putting music together for his upcoming
“Untitled” album and the highly requested State Property reunion
tour.
Beanie Sigel was reunited with the former Roc-A-Fella group July 2 at Summerfest
2011 in Atlantic City. Back on August 24, 2003 Allhiphop.com wrote “To
compete for a championship, you gotta assemble a team that has the perfect balance
between superstar, experienced veterans, rookies, and free agent pick-ups…
Roc-A-Fella have been getting their GM duties on by constructing super group
State Property.” Almost a decade later, the crew featuring members Beanie
Sigel, Freeway, Peedi Crack, Omilio Sparks, the Young Gunz and Oschino took
the stage and showed that they are still living up to that “super group”
title. While on stage Beanie promised fans that they would be hearing more from
the Philadelphia collective in the near future.
The Broad Street Bully has always been direct and very frank about the statements
and topics concerning his career, his life and his music. During a recent interview
with Sway Calloway on MTV’s rapfix Beanie talked about the state of music
today, how although there are some very talented artists out there, something
is missing. He stated, “All music is good… some of the music out
here has no substance…” Beanie Sigel has always delivered great
music for his innumerable fans and he hasn’t missed a beat with his new
release “B-Boy Stance”.
