Run The Jewels Kick Off Black Panther Video Series for Marvel

If you don't know Black Panther, you will soon. The Marvel superhero recently rebooted in print thanks to award-winning writer Ta-Nehisi Coates and artist Brian Stelfreeze (and brought to the screen in Captain America: Civil War by Chadwick Boseman) is also the subject of a just-launched monthly video series that animates the comics. This first one features a score from hip-hop duo Run the Jewels.

In a release announcing the project, Marvel said it will produce a new episode -- with soundtracks from 'some of the biggest names in the music industry' -- every month, beginning with Tuesday's 'Black Panther: A Nation Under Our Feet -- Part One.' The first installment uses Run The Jewel's 'Oh My Darling' as its backbone while Coates explains the T'Challa's backstory and the challenges he faces in his homeland of Wakanda.
