Both family and friends turned out to mourn Hip Hop "s first go-to hook man yesterday, March 26, 2011.

Among the attendees were Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, DJ Quik, Warren G, Kurupt, Mack-10 and WC.

"1986, Poly High School, that "s where we connected for the first time. We didn "t know each other, but the music connected us. We built a brotherhood, a friendship." said Snoop Dogg at the gathering.

"It hurts me so much to see this," said Warren G, with whom Nate recorded "Regulate." "We been through a whole lot and that was my dog. He stayed down with me from the bottom to the top.
