Le Poisson Rouge will host an event remembering Guru "s Jazz work a year and a day after his unfortunate death.

Revive Music Group will celebrate their 5th anniversary with a tribute concert dedicated to Keith "Guru" Elam "s Jazzmatazz series. The show will take place on April 21 at New York "s Le Poisson Rouge.

The show will feature members of the Elam family, along with several of Guru "s collaborators through the Jazzmatazz series. Between 1993 and 2007, Guru released four volumes of Jazzmatazz as well as a greatest hits compilation. The series involved Jazz greats such as Roy Ayers, Donald Byrd and Herbie Hancock, along with Hip Hop luminaries such as Common, J Dilla and Kool Keith.
