The annual Summer Jam concert is the biggest event of the year for New York City radio station Hot 97. While many were celebrating the showcase of rap stars on Sunday, one Hip Hop legend was criticizing the station for its negative affect on the culture in his opinion.

Public Enemy’s Chuck D sent out a tweet on June 2nd stating that Hot 97 has a made a “sloppy fiasco” of Hip Hop culture. The post including the hashtag #culturalCrime.
