The album was the first of The Roots " to sell over 500,000 copies, and was nominated for Best Rap Album at the Grammys in 2000. "You Got Me" won the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. The platinum status is well deserved. Things Fall Apart and 2002 "s Phrenology are both certified gold, as well.
