J.Cole’s ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive’ Album Goes Platinum

J. Cole can now update his discography with this stellar achievement. The Fayetteville native’s junior album 2014 Forest Hills Drive has hit platinum status.

The feature-less project dropped to fanfare in December, and has steadily climbed the charts and broke barriers every week. His previous compilations, Cole World: The Sideline Story and Born Sinner pushed 735,000 and 720,000 units respectively, but his recent musical effort boasts over 1,000,000 copies, which includes streaming tallies as well.

The “Fire Squad” lyricist also added another memorable moment to his reputation this week when he inked his name on the dotted line as one of the 18 owners of Jay Z’s new streaming service TIDAL which launched on Monday (Mar. 30).
