Pharrell To Release “Happy” Inspired Children’s Books

Go ahead and add Pharrell Williams to the list of Hip-Hop artists who know there’s good money and rewards by investing in materials for the kids.

According to Hypebeast, the success of “Happy” has prompted the recent Grammy Award-winner to create a new series of children’s books that shows youth of all ages, cultures, colors and creeds showing their definition of the jubilant word. The Neptune recently signed a deal with Putnam Books for the first print run of 250,000 copies to hit stores in September, just in time for school.

Aside from the Pharrell children’s books, fans can expect to much more of the man in the brown hat this year. He’s been slated to executive produce Snoop Dogg’s upcoming album, BUSH: A Snoop Odyssey and he has a Hip-Hop coming-of-age flick in Dope coming soon as well.

As the wise sage Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr. once said, “big things poppin’.”
