RAINBOW PUSH COALITION, HIP HOP UNION AND HIP HOP TV BRING HIP HOP LEGENDS, CITIZENS AND ACTIVISTS TOGETHER TO LAUNCH BUSINESS, ECONOMICS, TECHNOLOGY AND POLITICAL PLATFORM

At the 18th Annual Rainbow Push Wall Street Project Economic Summit at the Sheraton Times Square in New York, January 13 - 15, 2015, “Where Wall Street, Main Street, and Silicon Valley Converge,” a new era of Hip Hop will commence as members of the Hip Hop Union and Hip Hop TV join forces. The new partnership, along with a host of other organizations will include the announcement of a movement that will usher in a transformation of quality programming and business models structured to stimulate economic growth and civic responsibility within the Hip Hop Community.

The Hip Hop Union’s Five Year Anniversary I AM A CITIZEN Celebration will include 3 days of festivities aimed at honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s I AM A MAN Campaign with a vision for universal solidarity. The Hip Hop Union and Hip Hop TV will demonstrate “What Hip Hop Can Do” to promote unity and peace by using the power of its reach to educate the masses while opening doors of commerce in technology, music and media with an urban flair.

Hip Hop Union will announce 2015 as the Year of the Hip Hop Entrepreneur and introduce the 1st Hip Hop Entrepreneur Co-Operative Board of Directors and Political Super PAC’s mission and direction;

Hip Hop’s Favorite Radio/TV Personality Ed Lover will announce new ventures including his show on Sirius Satellite/Backspin Radio and groundbreaking Hip Hop TV initiative allowing the innovators of Hip Hop to drive the video programming of the network

Freeway Rick Ross and World Bookings will announce the launch of their literacy tour and AL Jazeera America TV debut of their documentary FREEWAY ‘Crack in the System’ directed by Marc Levin

24 Hours of Peace will announce fundraiser for the Eric Garner Family Fund

Moderated by Hip Hop TV CEO Shawn Granberry focusing on what role and responsibility Hip Hop will play in the STEM opportunity boom. Panelists will include Hip Hop artists, Rakim Allah, Murda Mook and Nikki D, Hip Hop TV Vice President, Ed Lover, Freeway Rick Ross, Core DJ Founder, Tony Neal, Erick Sermon, President, Def Squad Enterprises and P. Frank Williams, Chief Executive Officer, Prophet From It Entertainment.
