Remy Ma had her first post-prison interview with Funkmaster Flex yesterday (Aug. 2). After dropping her “They Don’t Love You No More” remix, the Bronx-bred rapper called into Hot 97 to discuss what projects she hopes to line up, and her sentiments following her release.

“I’m excited, I’m happy. I’m extremely happy. I’m blessed; God allowed me to get another chance at what I love to do and everyone’s been super, uber supportive,” she told Flex.

Though she made time to record a track, Remy has not inked a deal in her mere two days on the outside. She talked about the probability of signing with DJ Khaled’s We The Best Music, however.

“I’ve been talking to Khaled since I was still incarcerated, and he has a lot of great ideas and things he would like to do. I didn’t sign with anyone yet,” she said. “I don’t know where I wanna sign yet. I just know I go so much sh-t I wanna say, and so much great songs that I think the world need to hear.”

Funkmaster Flex also probed Remy on her views of the current state of rap. She offered her take on the insisting of drama amongst female emcees.

"What I think happens with females in this game, they tend to allow other people to pit us against each other. I "ve said this before. They make it seem like there can only be one female,” she said. “It can be a thousand guys that "s putting out music and rapping and doing what they do but when it comes to females in this hip-hop business, they make it seem like it can only be one, and if there "s more than one then, "Alright, y "all better be at each other "s throats every chance that you get. "”

Remy also talked with Flex about her collaboration wish list. With Swizz Beatz and DJ Mustard leading her list of producers, she also revealed that she would like to work with Iggy Azalea and Nicki Minaj.

“I think it would really be dope if we could get like a ill chick record with everybody who’s doing what they’re doing right now. Me, maybe Iggy Azalea, Nicki, like just do like a nice little collabo.”
