Ice T has already been known to say anything so it is no surprise that the “Cop Killer” rapper appeared on Reddit’s Ask Me Anything session. During the session, T answered anonymous fans’ questions about his view on the current state of gangster rap, his favorite rappers and more.

During the chat, one of the originators of West Coast gangster rap claims that today’s Hip Hop is not as dangerous and is essentially “POP Music”. According to T, it is the radio stations and artists’ proclivity to appeasing radio formats to blame:

Radio won… If you make music to fit into a radio format it will end up POP.

T also names Chuck D and Ice Cube as his favorite rappers, as well as names Dr. Dre and DJ Premier as the producers he respects the most.
