Roc Nation Sports continues to build their strong roster of clients. The agency, lead by Jay Z, has added New York Yankees pitcher C.C. Sabathia to the team. A six-time MLB All-Star, the 33-year-old Sabathia has been with the Yankees since 2009, winning the World Series and ALCS MVP that same year. A previous Cy Young Award-winner when pitching for the Cleveland Indians back in 2007, C.C. joins a lineup at Roc Nation Sports that now includes Kevin Durant, Victor Cruz, Geno Smith, Skylar Diggins, and former Yankees now Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano.
Late last year, Jay Z and Roc Nation Sports helped Cano get a 10-year $240 million deal from the Mariners. A big fan of the Brooklyn rapper-moguel, Sabathia has supported Jay Z since arriving to the Yankees. He’s been spotted many times at concerts, Jay Z’s charity events, and courtside at Brooklyn Nets games. C.C. announced the signing on Twitter, which you can view below.
